Göreve başlayışının 38. yılında makamında kalp krizi geçirerek vefat eden Gökçeada Belediyesinin yazı İşleri Müdürü Şaban BOZKURT için son görev yerine getirilerek defnedildi.
38 yıla varan görev yılının 30 yıldan fazlasını Yazı İşleri Müdürü olarak 5 ayrı belediye başkanı ile çalışan Şaban BOZKURT için Gökçeadalılar son görev için bir araya geldiler. Belediye Başkanı Sait Halim ERGÖR zamanında göreve başlayan Şaban BOZKURT, sırası ile Tahir ŞENEL, Halil Rüştü AKGÜN, Yücel ATALAY ve Ünal ÇETİN başkanlar ile birlikte çalıştı. Görevine siyaseti hiç bir şekilde bulaştırmayan Şaban BOZKURT, bu yönü ile tüm adanın sevilen bir yüzüydü.
COVİD 19 önlemleri kapsamında maske ve sosyal mesafe kuralına uygun olarak bir araya gelen Gökçeadalılar önce Gökçeada Belediyesi önünde yapılan sade etkinliğin ardından evi önünde de helallik alınarak Gökçeada Mezarlığına nakledildi.
Mezarlıkta kılınan cenaze namazı sonrası defnedilen Şaban BOZKURT için üzüntü büyüktü. Görevinde liyakati ile örnek olan Yazı İşleri Müdürü Şaban BOZKURT 1961 doğumlu ve iki çocuk babasıydı. Çocukları Anıl ve Mert ile eşi Hatice BOZKURT mezarlıkta taziyeleri kabul ederken üzüntüleri yürekleri burktu. Sadece yakınları değil başta Belediye Başkanı Ünal ÇETİN olmak üzere tüm Gökçeada önemli bir değeri yitirmenin üzüntüsünü yaşadı.

Scores of unexploded bombs dating from World War II have been recovered from a children’s playground in northern England after a chance discovery.
Local officials in the town of Wooler, Northumberland called in bomb disposal experts after workers involved in a planned overhaul of Scotts Play Park found unexploded ordnance, the parish council said in a statement sent to CNN on Monday.
Two bombs were initially removed by the British Army, the UK Ministry of Defense said in a statement. The parish council was then advised that a full survey of the area was required, according to a council spokesperson.
Bomb disposal company Brimstone Site Investigation then uncovered 65 10-pound practice bombs and smoke cartridges on the first day of works, with a further 90 practice bombs recovered on the second day.

Originally built and revised with a margin of error under 1%, the model was updated multiple times before the 1990s, though it is now frozen in time. According to Maliszewski, it cost over $672,000 to make in 1964 ($6.8 million in today’s money) and nearly $2 million (about $4.5 million today) was spent when it was last revised in 1992.
